Francine started volunteering for Saint Rescue in April of 2005.
In 1998 Francine adopted her first Saint, Churchill, and fell in love with the breed. Churchill became a therapy dog and together they visited Hospice Austin Christopher House, Child and Adolescent Program at the Austin State Hospital and various nursing homes. In 2001 Churchill and Francine were recognized for Outstanding Volunteer Services by Therapy Pet Pals of Texas.
Churchill has since passed on and Francine has shared her home with many Saints. Currently she lives with Dandy and Pearl. Dandy is enjoying his golden years and Pearl is training in agility - she can't wait to compete! Francine says there just isn’t a better feeling that could ever compare, knowing what you have done in saving a life.
